School Closings & Delays

Although main roads in and around town are in acceptable driving condition, many of our rural roads remain icy and treacherous. After continued assessment, we believe the safety of our students and staff is simply too important to risk travel in these areas.

In addition, temperatures are forecasted to fall below freezing again tonight and into tomorrow morning, increasingthe likelihood of refreezing on untreated roadways.

Due to these conditions, all Farmersville ISD facilities will remain closed on Friday, January 30. No classes will be held.

Thank you for your continued flexibility and support as we prioritize the safety and well-being of our school community. Please take care, stay safe, and stay warm.

Due to icy road conditions, and to prioritize the safety of 

our students, staff, and Farmer Families, all Farmersville ISD facilities will remain closed on Thursday, January 29. There will be no classes or district events on this day. We appreciate your understanding as we make decisions with the safety of our community as our top priority.

Due to the predicted winter storm, Farmersville ISD athletic facilities will be closing tonight, Friday, January 23, at 5:30 p.m. To prioritize the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and families, all athletic facilities will remain closed throughout the weekend. During this time, Farmersville ISD will not hold any workouts, practices, or meetings, and families will be notified once a decision has been made on when the facilities will be open again.

Based on the most current information, the predicted winter weather is now expected to move into our area later Friday evening. With student and staff safety as our top priority, we have carefully reviewed the conditions and determined that Friday, January 23, will be a regular school day at Farmersville ISD.

The district will make a decision regarding any changes to our regular school schedule for Friday by Thursday afternoon.
