We are aware of recent media reports involving a former executive connected to a firm within LifeTouch’s broader ownership structure. We understand these reports have raised concerns in our community.
At this time, the District has no credible evidence that Lifetouch has violated student privacy laws, including FERPA, nor have we received information indicating that student data within our district has been compromised.
However, out of an abundance of caution, the District is canceling next week’s scheduled picture day at Tatum Elementary.
We will continue reviewing the matter and evaluating future photography services to ensure alignment with our student privacy and data protection standards.
